DR. MICHAEL WILLIAMS
BOARD CERTIFIED ORTHODONTIST
Orthodontics is a specialized branch of dentistry which focuses entirely on diagnosis, prevention and treatment of dental and facial irregularities. This specialized field requires eleven years of upper education. Dr. Williams earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree at the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Williams continued his education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He completed a Hospital Dentistry Residency where he received a certificate in Hospital/General Practice Dentistry. He then completed his three year orthodontic residency program and received his Master of Science degree and his Certificate in Orthodontics from the UAB School of Dentistry.
Dr. Williams has earned his Board Certification from the American Board of Orthodontics, an accomplishment that only 25% of Orthodontists in the United States achieve. He is also a former President of the Georgia Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Williams likes to stay very active in his community. He is a past president of the Rotary Club of Woodstock and is very involved with the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce. Williams Orthodontics works closely with local schools through the “Partners in Education” program to educate children about dental health and various other topics. Dr. Williams is proud to call Cherokee County home.
